Maria is a doctoral researcher who has conducted empirical research into care proceedings with an international dimension and the operation of private international law (https://research-information.bris.ac.uk/en/persons/maria-s-wright). She is a solicitor and Senior Legal Advisor to CFAB (Children and Families Across Borders). She has published widely on child protection issues in a transnational context, including:

Maria and Michael were co-authors, together with Henry Setright KC, David Williams KC and Dr Ian Sumner, of International Issues in Family Law: The 1996 Hague Convention on the Protection of Children and Brussels IIa (LexisNexis, Sept 2015)
